Estrategias para reducir la huella de carbono en proyectos de Ingeniería Civil: una revisión sistemática

Resumen

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica sobre las estrategias para la reducción de la huella de carbono en proyectos de ingeniería civil. Para ello, se realizó una revisión sistemática bajo la metodología PRISMA, considerando 20 artículos científicos publicados entre 2021 y 2026, seleccionados de Scopus, ScienceDirect, EBSCO y Scielo, mediante criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los resultados evidenciaron que el An álisis del Ciclo de Vida (LCA) es la metodología predominante para la medición de la huella de carbono, complementada por herramientas como Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Twin y Machine Learning. Asimismo, las principales estrategias de mitigación incluyen el uso de materiales de bajo carbono, la prefabricación, la optimización estructural y la digitalización de los procesos constructivos. Se concluye que la integración de estas estrategias contribuye al desarrollo de infraestructuras más sostenibles y a la descarbonización del sector de la ingeniería civil.
